MDV-II Release Notes

v0.4.8

• Modern mode now runs at your DAW’s native sample rate (including 48 kHz and 96 kHz) — delay times and reverb tails are now consistent whether Vintage is on or off

v0.4.7

• Pan Link — new chain-link toggle on the pan knob that mirrors A and B pans inversely; move one knob and both units spread symmetrically in the stereo field

• Ghost knob overlay appears while dragging with pan link active, showing the other unit’s inverse position in real time

• Pan link is enabled by default and resets correctly on patch reload

v0.4.5

• Fixed category labels (Reverb, Gate, Reverse, etc.) clipping into the program buttons — added explicit line-height to prevent text overflow

• Fixed pan-spread gain staging — panning units apart no longer produces a level boost over both units panned center; overall loudness is now consistent across all pan positions

v0.4.4

• MIDI CC Learn — right-click any knob to assign a physical MIDI controller

• Program selector is MIDI learnable

• CC number badge displays on assigned knobs for quick visual reference

• Multiple knobs can share the same CC for grouped control

• MIDI mappings save and restore with presets

v0.4.3

• Fixed comb filtering when internal send levels are set to minimum and the global mix knob is not at 100% — the dry signal path is now latency-compensated to match the wet path

• Program name display now shows the active mode prefix (A/B when linked, L/R when unlinked)

v0.4.2

• Split-stereo mode: unlink the engines to process left and right channels independently, preserving the stereo image of your source material

• Link/Unlink toggle button with chain-link icon — linked = series chain (A→B), unlinked = split stereo (L/R)

• Added 125% GUI scaling option

v0.4.1

• Added global Mix knob — restores stereo dry/wet blending from v0.1.5, preserving the stereo image of the original input

• Per-unit Mix knobs renamed to "Send" to clarify their role as effect send levels within the processing chain

• Per-unit Send levels now default to 100% so the global Mix knob is the primary dry/wet control out of the box

• Fixed stereo collapse bug where dry signal was being summed to mono instead of preserving the original stereo input

• Program 0 (Defeat) now passes signal through instead of outputting silence

• Added A/B swap button to reverse the processing order of the two engines

• Fixed vintage mode not being recalled on session load

v0.3.0

• Dual Engine: two DASP-16 chips running in series — A feeds B for stacked, layered effects

• A/B unit switching with independent program selection, mix, and pan per unit

• Pan-spread stereo: both pans centered = pure series chain; spread the pans apart to hear each stage separately in the stereo field

• Per-unit bypass with power button — independently enable or disable each engine

• New Pan knob for stereo positioning of each unit

• Redesigned UI with grouped control panels and visual separation of I/O and effect sections

• Fixed crackling on reverse reverb programs (accumulator saturation fix)

v0.1.5

• Fixed plugin GUI displaying scrollbars on Windows when system text scaling is set above 100%

v0.1.3

• Fixed bug where part of the input stage and output stage filtering was swapped between vintage mode and non-vintage mode, making both sound incorrect.

v0.1.1

• Initial release

• All 100 factory programs faithfully reproduced from DASP-16 architecture

• Input Level, Mix, and Output Level controls

• SIGNAL and OVLD LED metering

• Vintage Mode with hardware-accurate analog output filter modeling

• Two-digit numeric keypad and arrow-button program selection

• Drag-to-scroll program browsing on the LED display
