About Temecula DSP
Temecula DSP goes beyond what other plugin companies do. Our plugins aren't modeled from impulse responses or tuned by ear. Each one is built by analyzing the original hardware at the lowest level to produce a bit-accurate reproduction of a vintage digital effects unit.
Based in Southern California's Temecula Valley - a name derived from the native Luiseño word meaning "sun shining through the mist" - it's a fitting home for a company dedicated to bringing classic studio effects back to life.
I've been developing software for over 25 years and I'm also a musician who produces electronic dance music. I became fascinated with the URSA Major Space Station when I first heard "Hours" by Tycho, which has an opening guitar that sounds less like a guitar and more like an ambient pad. That sound sparked an obsession.

Temecula means sun shining through the mist.
I've owned both the SST-282 and SST-206, studying their behavior extensively to create algorithmic recreations that capture what made the originals special. These aren't emulations that approximate the sound-they're faithful recreations built from deep analysis of the original hardware.
Every plugin gets used in my own productions. Nothing ships that I wouldn't reach for myself. Download a demo and hear the difference.
